The technical terms used on this site, explained simply.
- VÉYÈR
- Chitosan-based basic substance developed by BIOMYR, in a 100% water-soluble powder.
- Chitosan
- Natural biopolymer obtained from the valorization of chitin, used as the base of VÉYÈR.
- Basic substance
- Regulatory status defined by Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 for substances useful for plant protection whose main use is something else.
- Elicitor
- A substance that stimulates a plant's natural defense mechanisms, without acting directly on the pest.
- Fungistatic / bacteriostatic
- Helping to curb the development of fungi or bacteria, through a barrier effect or activation of the plant's defenses.
- Technical pathway
- The ordered set of practices applied to a field for a given crop, from sowing to harvest.
- Biopolymer
- A natural, renewable and biodegradable polymer produced by living organisms.
- Digital agronomy
- The use of data and digital tools to objectify the agronomic diagnosis and follow-up of a field.
